Susan B. Acton Interiors, Inc. was founded in 1989 in Concord, Massachusetts. Prior to her company, she was a partner in Interalia Design, located in Wellesley, MA. Her prior associations were with interior design firms in Brookline and Cambridge, MA. Presently her offices are in Cohasset, MA and Wellington, FL.
She earned an A.A. in interior design from Endicott College and has been a professional member of A.S.I.D. for over twenty years. Her current residential projects are throughout New England and Florida. Ms. Acton's work has been published in national magazines as well as local publications.
During her career, she has done eight rooms in the Junior League Show Houses. The first room was in the living room at the Webster Estate in Brookline. She then went on to design the master bedroom in the Stone Estate in Brookline, the dining room in the Glidden Estate in Wellesley, the play room in the Forbes Estate in Milton, the front hall in the Davison Estate in Westwood, and several other rooms.
Her projects are a celebration of life; and are, therefore, about her clients, and about their comfort in its fullest sense. Her style is the style of her clients. The period and color of each project range from period to contemporary, white to tomato red, tone-on-tone to multiple patterns. Each project has a life of its own.
Susan and Ted Galo, her husband, have two grown daughters and son in the Boston area. They live between their homes in Massachusetts and Florida with their Cocker Spaniel, Jack and King Charles Cavalier, Willy.
